Spectator & Resident Information

Read on for information on event weekend timings, parking, temporary traffic restrictions and spectator vantage points.

There is lots going on in the Event Village (free entry) over the event weekend for both participants and spectators, including the Runners’ Cafe and Expo on Saturday, street food, pipe band, live music and kids’ activities on Sunday.

Temporary Traffic Restrictions

Details of temporary traffic restrictions around Inverness and Loch Ness will be available in 2026.

Please note the Infirmary Bridge will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists between 0830-1700.

Parking at Event Village, Bught Park

Please note there is NO parking available at Bught Park or in the surrounding residential streets. Where possible please consider car sharing or walking to the Event Village.

  • Cathedral Car Park, Ness Walk, Inverness, IV3 5NN
  • Torvean Car Park, IV3 8JL accessed from roundabout opposite Premier Inn, Glenurquhart Road

Spectators

The final 4 miles through Inverness offer the best vantage points for spectators, and everyone is welcome to come to the Event Village at Bught Park to welcome home all runners and enjoy the entertainment and festival atmosphere.

Marathon start: there is no spectator or vehicle access to the marathon start due to logistical/safety reasons.

For safety reasons, it is not permitted to accompany runners or cycle along any of the race routes.
